Ayurveda Fire Dosha

In Ayurveda, the fire dosha, also known as Pitta, is one of the three primary constitutional types, or doshas, that make up an individual's unique physical and mental characteristics. The fire dosha is associated with the element of fire and is characterized by qualities such as heat, intensity, and sharpness. People with a dominant fire dosha tend to be ambitious, driven, and intelligent, but they may also be prone to irritability and anger if their Pitta becomes imbalanced. To maintain balance, individuals with a dominant fire dosha should avoid or minimize activities and substances that increase heat or inflammation in the body, such as spicy or heated foods, excessive sun exposure, and alcohol. They should also practice self-care habits that help to cool and calm the body, such as taking cool baths or showers, practicing relaxation techniques such as yoga or meditation, and getting plenty of rest.
