Cough Dosha

In Ayurveda, a traditional system of medicine from India, a dosha is one of three fundamental principles that govern the physical and mental characteristics of an individual. The three doshas are called Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Each person is believed to have a unique combination of the three doshas, and this combination is thought to influence their physical and mental health. Vata is associated with movement and is responsible for circulation, breathing, and the nervous system. People with a dominant Vata dosha are said to be energetic and creative, but they may also be prone to anxiety and insecurity. Pitta is associated with digestion and metabolism. People with a dominant Pitta dosha are said to be intelligent and assertive, but they may also be prone to anger and frustration. Kapha is associated with structure and stability. People with a dominant Kapha dosha are said to be calm and stable, but they may also be prone to laziness and attachment. In Ayurvedic medicine, imbalances in the doshas are believed to be the cause of many health problems, and treatment is often focused on balancing the doshas through diet, lifestyle changes, and herbal remedies.
