Doshas Vata Pitta E Kapha

In Ayurveda, the doshas are three fundamental principles that govern the functioning of the body and mind. The doshas are known as Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Vata is responsible for movement and is associated with the elements of air and space. It governs functions such as circulation, respiration, and muscle and joint movement. When Vata is balanced, one may feel calm, clear-headed, and energetic. When it is imbalanced, one may experience symptoms such as anxiety, constipation, and dry skin. Pitta is responsible for metabolism and is associated with the elements of fire and water. It governs functions such as digestion, metabolism, and body temperature. When Pitta is balanced, one may feel confident, intelligent, and focused. When it is imbalanced, one may experience symptoms such as irritability, acid reflux, and rashes. Kapha is responsible for structure and is associated with the elements of earth and water. It governs functions such as growth, lubrication, and stability. When Kapha is balanced, one may feel stable, grounded, and peaceful. When it is imbalanced, one may experience symptoms such as congestion, weight gain, and sluggishness. In Ayurveda, it is believed that each individual has a unique combination of the doshas, and maintaining balance among them is essential for overall health and well-being.
