How To Know If My Body Is Vata Pitta Kapha

In Ayurveda, it is believed that the balance of three fundamental bodily energies, or doshas, determines a person's physical and mental characteristics and tendencies. These doshas are known as vata, pitta, and kapha. To determine your dominant dosha, you can consider the following characteristics: Vata: Vata types tend to be thin, light, and quick in their movements. They may have dry skin, dry and thin hair, and a tendency towards constipation. They may also be prone to anxiety and have difficulty sleeping. Pitta: Pitta types tend to be of medium build and have good digestion. They may have a tendency towards acne, rashes, or other skin issues. They may also have a sharp intellect and be prone to anger or irritability. Kapha: Kapha types tend to be heavier and more solid in build. They may have oily skin, thick hair, and good endurance. They may also have a tendency towards sluggishness and a tendency towards weight gain. It is important to note that most people are a combination of all three doshas, with one or two usually dominant. It is also important to keep in mind that these are general tendencies and not hard and fast rules. It is best to consult with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner to determine your dominant dosha.
