Human Body Pitta

In Ayurveda, the traditional system of medicine practiced in India, pitta is one of the three doshas, or constitutional types, that are believed to govern the functioning of the body and mind. Each person is believed to have a unique balance of the three doshas: vata, pitta, and kapha. Pitta is associated with fire and water elements and is said to govern metabolism, digestion, and transformation. People with a predominantly pitta constitution are thought to be intelligent, ambitious, and organized, but they can also be prone to irritability and anger. According to Ayurveda, imbalances in pitta can manifest in the body as inflammation, skin problems, digestive issues, and high levels of acidity. To maintain balance, people with a predominantly pitta constitution are advised to avoid hot, spicy foods and to practice relaxation techniques such as meditation and yoga.
