Kapha Fall Diet

In Ayurveda, kapha is one of the three doshas, or energies, that are believed to govern the body and mind. People with a predominance of kapha energy are thought to have a larger frame and to be more prone to weight gain. They may also have a tendency towards congestion and sluggishness. A kapha-balancing diet is typically focused on light, easily digestible foods that are dry, warm, and spicy, as these qualities are believed to help reduce excess kapha in the body. Some general recommendations for a kapha-balancing diet include: Choose light, dry, and easily digestible foods, such as soups, steamed vegetables, and grilled meats. Avoid heavy, oily, and fried foods, as well as dairy products and sweet, sugary foods. Include plenty of spices in your meals, such as ginger, turmeric, black pepper, and cumin, as these are believed to have a warming effect on the body. Eat smaller, more frequent meals rather than large, heavy meals. Drink plenty of fluids, but avoid cold drinks and ice water, as these can further sluggishness and congestion. Instead, opt for warm water or herbal teas. Avoid overeating and eat your meals at regular intervals to maintain a healthy metabolism.
