Pitta Kapha Prakriti

In Ayurveda, "pitta" and "kapha" are two of the three doshas, or constitutional types, that make up an individual's unique constitution or prakriti. Each person is believed to have a unique balance of the three doshas, which are believed to govern different physical and psychological processes in the body. Pitta is associated with fire and water elements, and is said to govern metabolism, digestion, and metabolism. People with a predominantly pitta constitution are believed to be intelligent, articulate, and strong-willed, but may also be prone to anger and irritability. They tend to have a medium build and tend to be of medium height. Kapha is associated with earth and water elements, and is said to govern structure and lubrication in the body. People with a predominantly kapha constitution are believed to be calm, stable, and grounded, but may also be prone to sluggishness and laziness. They tend to have a solid, sturdy build and tend to be of larger stature. In Ayurveda, it is believed that understanding and balancing one's doshas can promote overall health and well-being. Practitioners may recommend specific diet and lifestyle changes to help bring balance to an individual's doshas.
